Manifesto for EU Covid19 Research | Tuesday, 22 September 2020 @16.00
On July 20 the Commission launched a Manifesto to maximise the accessibility of research results in the fight against COVID-19. The Manifesto provides guiding principles for beneficiaries of EU research grants for coronavirus prevention, testing, treatment and vaccination to ensure that their research results will be accessible for all and guarantee a return on public investment. The manifesto is also open to signature by any other stakeholder.
The session will aim at presenting the Manifesto, clear doubts and exchange views on its implementation.

The workshop will kick-start the discussion with stakeholders on a modern knowledge valorisation policy with the focus on reviewing the 2008 EC Recommendation on the management of intellectual property in knowledge transfer activities and Code of Practice for universities and other public research organisations. It is expected to provide concrete input on how to better address the changes and challenges of the current R&I landscape with the objective to turn Europe’s scientific leadership into products and solutions for a sustainable, climate-friendly and digitised future. A background paper for the session is enclosed.
