Co-Creating the future of Research Management

Project timeline: September 2022 – August 2025

The RM Roadmap project, a pan-European initiative launched in September 2022, aims to strengthen research management (RM) across Europe by developing a comprehensive roadmap and fostering a collaborative community. Over its three-year duration, the project seeks to enhance the European Research Area by identifying and addressing the evolving needs of the research management profession. Its key objectives include establishing a pan-European network of research managers to facilitate strategic, cross-border partnerships among stakeholders in industry, research funding organisations, and academic institutions. Additionally, the project engages existing RM communities through a Knowledge and Community Platform to enable collaborative discussions shaping the future of research management. It also focuses on identifying and promoting training, networking, funding, and mobility opportunities to support the current and future RM workforce, thereby enhancing the EU's competitiveness and sustaining its economic performance.
